We are known for our sofas and sectionals. Thousands are made each year, and one of the questions we get asked all the is, how do you make a sofa? Here it is.
The customer first orders from our catalog or a provides us with a custom design that they want. Then our design engineer, Joe, will start the process needed for framing, cutting and upholstery.
Then we go to framing. We have a well-trained assembly team that staples and glues wood together and then adds the sinuous 8 gauge springs for seating support to complete the frame (all done in-house here in Los Angeles, California). Alder hardwood is used for 100% of the frame which allows us to give a lifetime warranty,
Next the frame goes to our upholstery department. At the same time, the cushions are being sewn in our sewing department.
Lastly our packaging is where the finishing touches are added. This includes legs or custom bases, cushions get stuffed with either foam or an upgrade fill, accent pillows are added, and then it goes through our quality control which ensures the order was made correctly. We check for defects on fabric or threads hanging. Once checked off, we get it ready to be shipped to the customer.
